Sketch a Day: Day 6 (and Zippo progress)

That fella is sort of recognisable, isn’t he? But I think I will start posting after every other day or so, not to bore you to death with my crappy drawings.

But here is also a teaser of soon to be finished Zippo engraving.

    Hello Vilts, you are schowing a very nice work on the Zippo!
    About drawing – at the moment, it seems to me, you are drawing the animal like it is in your head. Try out the following: ask someone to search a draft of something, you never have seen. It could be a really complicated draw. Don’t look at it! Just sit down ready for drawing and let the person put the picture in front of you – but headfirst! That is importand. Now your brain is gonna work to find out what it is. Don’t let it doing so – just start to draw line after line as you see it. Don’t thing about what it could be while your are drawing.

    I bet you will be astonished by the result. This way was a great help for me and i hope it will work for you, too.
